Letter to Supervisor Ovitt

December 4, 2010

Supervisor Ovitt,

I would implore you to lead on reforming the county animal shelter in Devore so we would not have to deal with more heartbreak seeing the dogs in the outdoor kennels having to deal with frostbite or dehydration again.

I know your term as BOS chairman is about to end soon for awhile, and I think getting this issue situated would be a good way to bring forth some good feeling around the county.

I know you would not treat your animals this way at your home in Ontario. Volunteers have offered to provide blankets and coats for these animals, but your managers in Devore refused these efforts.

Devore may be a cold place in the winter, but there should be some solutions to reduce the heartbreak and bring more confidence in the county animal services department such as ordering an outdoor heating system for the kennel.

Best,

Matthew Munson

Munson for Ron Wall for District 4

This election I encourage the voters of the 4th Supervisorial District of San Bernardino County to vote for Ron Wall for Supervisor. If you are tired of the status quo of incumbent Gary Ovitt, Ron Wall will be a refreshing choice to be your representative. Ron’s platform is very simple, bring forth ethnics reform, create an ethics commission and introduce campaign finance limits so campaigns would not be bought off by the usual developers in our county.

The residents of the fourth district need someone who is not part of the establishment in county politics so we can get someone who is not part of the system. We do need to throw the bums out so we can finally clean out San Bernardino County and make it better for the people. We need to bring forth integrity back to the Board of Supervisors so we can have a government we can be proud of.

There Is No Need For a Focus Group

Recently I got asked to participate in a focus group about local issues. I had an inclination that this was the same organization that was used to help poll a subset of local residents in my city about 10 years ago. Unfortunately I got asked to not attend by the sponsor of the focus group and I would like to communicate a message to the sponsor so they could save their money and understand the reality that is going on.

I know that these focus groups that were going to happen on Thursday at a leading Ontario, California hotel were connected to a political figure in my city since I knew Supervisor Ovitt was mayor and city councilman and I decided to put two and two together and presume that this focus group was sponsored by the supervisor.

Even though I am not a supporter of the Supervisor I know that he needs a balanced opinion panel and it would be very helpful to him to understand why that there are two candidates challenging him in June Ron Wall and Richard Galvez. Supervisor Ovitt may have a fighting chance in 2010, but in 2014 unless he fixes the political culture it is likely State Senator Gloria Negrette Mcleod will defeat Supervisor Ovitt.

Since I was yanked at the last minute I am deciding to air my views public so people can understand the views that are making people want to vote against all the incumbents in San Bernardino County.

We have a district attorney who is alleged to use his office as a dating service where he allegedly cheats on the women in his department. We have people at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center allegedly getting intimate with patients, falsifying records and other unsavory deeds where the establishment does not want to rock the boat and clean out the system.

We want a government we can be proud of. That is what I am asking for. Even if I have to vote Richard Galvez or Ronald Wall for Supervisor, that is the choice I will make so we can have a county we can be proud of and end the culture of corruption that has infested us since the mid 90s.

5 Dollars Goes a Long Way

I made another political contribution tonight. I helped Paul Schrader pay a portion of their filing fee for San Bernardino County Sheriff. It may only be 0.2% of the filing fee, but he only needs like $1200 now out of $2000 and he would appreciate your support so he could get on the ballot so visit his website and make a contribution today.

We need a new sheriff that would be independent and not as tarnished as other elected officials from our county. I know many of us are not making much money, but 5 or even 10 dollars would be much appreciated.
