Blog News

Things may have been slightly slow at Inland Utopia. Right now it is retail season and I am a bit tired right now to write as much as I used to. However there are some issues I would like to mention right now.

Advertising: If you want to be a charter sponsor and help pay for my website hosting fees to keep this blog alive, I would be happy to entertain any offers. Charter sponsors would be able to have a banner ad on my blog for up to 6 months and I can update the banner ad a few times if needed.

Contributing Writers: Conservative or liberal, I want you to write for the blog. If you are interested let me know.

Thank You for visiting.

New Features on the blog

I have decided to add an arts and leisure section to the blog. On Wednesdays there will be a regular feature of reviews of books, music, movies and other forms of entertainment. Sometimes life does not always revolve around news and politics and there is time for a diversion.

If you want to take a look at anything that has been reviewed look under the category of Arts & Leisure for an assortment of past writings of that topic.

New Commenting System used at Inland Utopia

Intense Debate is a commenting service ran by the people who make the fine blog software called WordPress. I am trying Intense Debate and see if it would be a good fit for my site.

If you want to find out the features that makes Intense Debate worthwhile, feel free to check out this site here.

If you want to get in the conversation at Inland Utopia, simply make an account at Intense Debate today and let us talk.

Looking for some Utopians for the Inland Utopia blog pen!

In the spirit of Art Pedroza’s Orange Juice blog, I am considering inviting some writers to my blog. These writers do not have to have identical views, you can even be a leftist or a ultra conservative. Let us have some fresh and independent commentary. You will not receive any compensation, but you can use my bandwidth and web space to be a soapbox to expose commentary and views across the region.

Updates

I am working on two stories for the blog. I am looking to profile and interview the Libertarian candidate running for Assembly District 61 Michael Mendez. Then my second story idea is discussing the lack of plastic bag recycling in Ontario, California.

Right now there is nothing much on my mind right now. However thank you for reading.

Hello readers!

I would like to introduce myself to people who may have found me from links to my comments on various web sites. I have some interesting articles for your reading convince. My personal blog is about my personal happenings, political happenings in the west end of San Bernardino County, national/international politics and popular culture as a whole.

Here is some of my best pieces throughout the two years I have ran this site.

Lets Break These Closet Chains – Written during the Larry Craig scandal in 2007, has significance due to the current San Bernardino County scandal.

Wal-Mart in Ontario? – I changed my mind about supporting Wal-Mart in Ontario.

My endorsement letter of Donald Williamson for Assessor in 2006, who knew what was going to happen today?

The Spirit of Radio – wonder why radio has stunk in general?

Hello readers

This is the May 2007 update with myself and Inland Utopia.

I renewed the site hosting for another year with the people of Siteground, if you need web hosting click on the link on the bottom of the website so you could help support this website with your new subscription. I am hoping to grow my website and hopefully make some small change to have the website support itself.

I snagged tickets to see the legendary Pet Shop Boys at the Hollywood Bowl in September. I hope to see more fantastic musical acts in 2007, I hope my father is surprised by how well they do their 25 years worth of electronic music.

My sister is moving out for awhile so she could go to the University of Nevada Las Vegas for art studies. She decided to go to that school because it was half the price of a leading private art school in Los Angeles and Las Vegas is exciting at the same time.

I am still enjoying my Nintendo Wii. The Wii is a small unit of entertainment, I am able to browse Youtube on my television, play GameCube games and wait for some promising Wii exclusives such as Smash Brothers and The Sims.

If you have any comments about any of my articles they are appreciated. As long as you are not selling prescription drugs or not overtly vulgar comment on.

2006 In Review

Hello. It is almost 2007. Time does fly away like a bird. I am selling my unwanted books, movies, music and electronic gadgets to make some spare change. It is delightful when you are able to clean your room or your home and make some spending money.

My Bulletin Board System has been alive since Summer 1995, but it seems BBSing is in the decline. I am giving it one more chance before I surrender.

I did do something good in 2006. I established Inlandutopia as my sandbox for Internet activity. Why pay $25 a year per blog at Livejournal when I could operate as many blogs as my traffic and storage can last for $70 a year and get a spiffy web address at Siteground.com? 40gig of space and 900gb of bandwidth what else can you ask for?

I found out that I need to visit a specialist for my allergies which have been worse by the years. It seemed visiting the Excalibur hotel and feeding the same amount to the vending machines lasted longer than my visit to the primary care doctor.

I also learned that I need to get off my duff and start looking for a full time job. The holiday season is ending and there is time for me to find a worthwhile job that pays twice what I am currently making now part time. Paying off my student loan in the next three years is my goal.

Going Pink

Going Pink for October

Inland Utopia will go Pink for October. Its an international group of internet websites working together on breast cancer awarness.
Losing a relative and a mother to breast cancer is unfortunate. However I do not want to see people dieing at their prime of their lives because of breast cancer.

If you want to find out more information visit here.
