Managing Our State Budget

I played the Los Angeles Times budget simulation game and I made my choices in how I would plug the state’s budget holes.

I decided on: 7 billion in cuts and around 17 billion in tax increases. I know we have been taxed too much, but I do not think California is ready to live in an Ayn Rand Kingdom despite how well written her novels are and how limited government may sound sexy, but as soon as you look close at limited government there are consequences that many in California would not want to tread towards such as closing state parks, community colleges or eliminating health care when we will be causing more pain just to save our face.

What would you do to end California’s 24 billion dollar budget deficit?
