Los Angeles Times, more expensive, less product

Thanks to Mike Spence, we find out that the Los Angeles Times will be more expensive in your local newstand. When newspaper circulation is declining you need to lower your prices in order for more people to want your product. Most of the added features the Times used to have in their paper is long gone such as their weekly magazine and many columnists and staffers who used to fill the paper with useful content in their sections.

As what Mike Spence stated in his post, “Of course they give you less content than years previously”. If my delivery cost comes out to be another 5.00 extra a month, I am likely to get weekend plus instead of daily subscription. My retail job is becoming rather substandard due to the falling economy and I have to trim the fat pretty soon.
