Medicine is a pricey complication. My part time job offered health benefits for part time workers, but the benefits are basically limited and would probably cost me more than the services I would basically use. For $80 dollars a month in deductions the benefits are rather limited. It feels like I am putting my health care needs on lay-away. When basically for my typical needs I would probally pay $500-600 at worse for medical expenses as cash compared to the $960 yearly cost.
Limited health care plans only create positive public relations for corporations, but do not really do anything meaningful for those who need health care.
Being uninsured is not fun, but I know sooner or later I will need to subscribe for a health care plan that will provide me decent services for slightly less in payroll deductions and or establish full time employment.
